Meet Me

I'm Gemma, a mum to four and the founder of Unedited Women.

Everything I create has grown from my own journey of remembering who I am beneath the roles, the responsibilities, and the many ways life can pull us away from ourselves.

When I turned forty, I realised I'd spent almost the entire previous decade pregnant, birthing, breastfeeding or raising little children.

Four children in seven years.

They were some of the most testing, yet rewarding years of my life, and they became some of my greatest teachers.

Like so many women, I was doing everything I could to keep life moving—caring for my children, running a household, supporting my family and trying to hold it all together.

Then there came a point where I realised the life I created didn't actually feel like mine.

I felt like a bystander, as though I'd somehow taken the back seat in my own life, getting through each day by doing what needed to be done.

Looking back now, I can see I'd spent years quietly becoming who I thought I needed to be—a good mother, a good wife, a good woman.

In doing so, I'd slowly lost touch with myself.

I'd stopped asking myself what I needed, what I desired, and who I was beneath all the roles I'd come to identify with.

That realisation marked the beginning of a different way of living.

Over the years that followed, I began building a relationship with myself that I'd never really had before. I learnt to listen to my body, trust myself and honour my desires.

Little by little, life began to feel like mine again.

Life didn't suddenly change.

I did.

Everything I create has grown from that journey.

It's why I created Unedited Women.

The space I wish I'd found all those years ago—a place to slow down, hear yourself again, reconnect with the woman beneath the roles, and remember what it feels like to be fully yourself.

If something here resonates with you, I'd love to welcome you into one of my spaces.

My work is informed by years of study in somatics, embodiment, nervous system regulation, yoga, yoga nidra, and women's work.
